Early Access Review
Buyer beware: combat system and interface are too much into gamepads. So sad about that, story seems interesting.

TL;DR: quite good CRPG in W40k setting with some roughness on implementation side.

Prologue is awesome, like in all Owlcat games. 1&2 acts are very good. Act 3 is questionable and linear. Acts 4&5 are okay-ish, however plagues with bugs(still! after months after release).
Combat is interesting at first, quite challenging, but once you get a hold of it there are too many options to win a fight without enemies even having a chance to do something. (daring difficulty)
Story and writing are good, however companion quests feel significantly simplified compared to previous Owlcat games.
KingdomProtectorate management done well, but kind of pointless. I really liked how it feels, but by the middle of the game I had overflow of resources and nowhere to spent them. Would like to see more balance work here.
Reputation system is built so you cannot obtain all maxed out reps, and that is nice, making you choose factions. The problem is, except select few items their stock is not needed and not balanced towards your Profit factor(TM) in 2/3 of the game.
So, Profit Factor - I LOVE THIS. Instead of having to manually sell each piece of gear you collect, instead of having extreme gold inflation like in PF:KM, now you have a single numerical value, that represents how rich your protectorate and you, as rogue trader, are. Collected stuff is categorized into cargo type, which you spent to gain reputation with factions, but it does not impact your profit factor - development of your planets and certain story choices is. And this really works well in earlier acts. In later acts it also saves you a lot of time of inventory management.
Music - okay.
Voiceovers - PROLOGUE IS AWESOME. Since some recent patch it is fully voices and I wish they eventually would cover all dialogs with VO. I would even pay for addon for that.
Atmosphere - all there, 10/10.

I would definitely play it at least one more time with different story choices.

Beach DLC without beaches themselves, quays or any actual beach properties or at least something beach-related. Part of Untimate edition that is just a few copy-paste buildings, that are for some reason a different zoning type as well.

It is guite good card-roguelite. It also features nice co-op mode which is really fun with friends. But there is a catch.

This is true while you're learning the game and unlocking stuff.

For late game there are not so many viable strategies, due to one of the bosses mechanic that limit card usage per round. And you have no counterplay for it except to kill him, given that in deep endless levels hp count is ridiculous, you'll be forced to use cards that scale, otherwise you damage is dismal. And since you cannot do long combos(card limit, remember?) it further down limits you deck building choice.
Another nail in the coffin of deep endless runs are locations - virtually all of then except artifacts and hideouts(there you can lock in card to be in starting hand) become useless to you by level 20-22. Just no point in getting health if you're not being hit (iether all dead, or you have thousands of block). And if you're - damage is too big anyways. No point in new/remove cards or upgrade - you have perfect deck by that time that does not require any tweaking.

All that said, I still recommend the game since I've got decent 50 hours of fun from it, but if you expect it to last longer - beware.

Sadly I must change review to negative one - instead of strategic experience as it was, game now rolls down to more and more randomness. While unit design and powers are really nice, the way it is given to the players... One proper free unit drop could completely ruin your strategy without viable counterplay. And given increased supplies gain, it is even more explosive. Developers seems this is "fun". I don't think so.

Probably best auto-battler out there. Lots of strategies, 2v2 mode, responsive developer. All accompanied by nice graphics and virtually bug free execution.

For the asking price game is gorgeus. And I do recommend it as tribute to developer. However, please read below to see if you could tolerate it at least an hour.

However as by modern standarts it is lacking in everything - models popping out of thin air, jaggy animations, poor writing and mediocre voice-acting, sounds are sometimes too loud and some times barely audible and list goes on.
It is passion project, but it lacks polish way too much and it's mechanical side is not entertaing enough.

Too EARLY access, at it's current state it is no game. It is concept. Good one, but still only a concept. Devs seems not yet decided in which direction to go.

I'll revisit this one later and update review.

Great strategy game in W40K setting. Haas enormous amout of races (via DLC) with reasonable pricing.
Visuals are okay-ish, I'd say the maain problem is that by visuals alone its hard to understand the height of given tile.
Music is very good.
Gameplay is awesome, especially in PvP.
