Something ate one of my babies and I legitimately got upset to the point I had to stop playing for a bit

... Really. I could end the review right there. This is a very slow walking-simulator style game where you play a momma badger trying her best to help her babies survive, whether it be from starvation or looming threats like birds of prey. This isn't a game designed to be rushed through, it's about going at a steady pace and taking the time to breathe. It's definitely very niche and not something everyone is going to find enjoyable, but for me personally? I found it incredibly immersive and got seriously emotionally attached to my little badger babies. The artwork is reminiscent of children's storybooks with a very watercolor-like feel to it and the music is very calming. This is the sort of game I like to play when I'm trying to relax. Especially if I'm winding down for bed.

If you don't like walking simulators or slow-and-steady games that are more about the artistic experience, you're not gonna like this. Plain and simple. If you're a part of the niche that do, there's a good chance you'll love it
