Currently, even though it is name "Republic of Korea" (South Korea not North mother fuckers), we are recruiting and you DO NOT have to be korean to join ( we do have more non-korean members than korean members ). All we ask is people that don't criticize or start shit talking to other members.

Though theoretically it is under the direction of the Chief of Naval Operations, the Marine Corps operates as a distinct arm of the military of South Korea, unlike most other "Marine" military organisations, which generally function as part of their respective national navies. It was founded as a reconnaissance group just before the Korean War. The ROKMC also saw action during the Vietnam War while stationed in Danang, sometimes fighting alongside the USMC or U.S. Navy SEALs.

The ROKMC is the 2nd largest marine corps in the world with over 27,000 soldiers. It is the most formidable branch of the ROK military, with an undefeated record and a 1:25 kill ratio during the Vietnam War compared to the average American kill ratio of less than 9:1. Amongst the South Korean military personnel, only the marines are priviledged to wear a red badge, which identifies them as part of the ROKMC.
