Rewards careful gameplay. PvE isn't a nightmare, but it can become an issue if you're dealing with enemy players or get careless. Some weapons are clearly not balanced, but oh well. Game's pretty good. Runs pretty well. No hiccups, only minor bugs here and there (mostly with the anti-stuck mechanic doing weird things like zip you through terrain you probably shouldn't have been hiding on).

Edit: Yeah like 800 hours later I'll say the bugs are actually really frustrating and continue to pile up as they update it. Some finally get squashed at the cost of some other newfangled nightmare coming up and being ignored.

Occasional frustrating bugs (exp gains not counting) that don't fix on a relog, and some desync bugs with items, but overall a quite fun game. Runs great, co-op is neat, battle mechanics are fresh.

Edit: After another 18 hours of play, I'll say the game is a bit shallower than something like Pokemon (we all know you're going to compare this to that). You can see plenty of areas where they intend to implement something on the side to do, so I'm not worried about whether the full release will be as linear of an experience.
The game is surprisingly pretty. The story is more adventurous than Pokemon (it certainly takes some risks in its development). Abilities feel impactful - even early-game abilities.

The game is a truly 'early access' version, at least for now. You cannot jump into it as it is right now expecting a flawless game. The developers are very clearly working their hearts out, even pushing fixes and updates over the weekend.
Since the last couple hotfixes and 0.5.4-->0.5.5 update, I'm not having issues with items or lost levels anymore.

It's got some issues that prevent me from burning dozens of hours in it, so I can't suggest it as an example of what VR can be, but it's still fun. The issues stem from weird tracking/gripping issues that cause weapons to straight up fail, fall out of your hands, change hands (lookin' at you, bow-n-arrow guy), etc. The control scheme isn't the most refined in VR history, but it's not too bad. Each weapon and ability, when working correctly, feel impactful and useful. Each enemy feels reasonable. Co-op is decent.
The game is a bit shallow and tries too hard to throw things at you (tutorials mostly), and it seems to forget when you've completed a tutorial at times.
Overall, it's an OK VR game that I'd really enjoy if they fixed the clunky handling and weapon-breaking bologna.

Every age and skill level can enjoy this game. Even my friend's wheelchair-bound mom can play the game and enjoy it. If you really get into it, it's a decent little cardio workout for us unhealthy gamers. Great party game, tons of custom/community-made tracks. Game's updated regularly. It's the good stuff.

I'll preface this by saying I don't usually care a ton for artsy games, nor adventure games with puzzles of any kind.

This game is absolutely beautiful, and the puzzles didn't annoy me. They're all short and sweet.
Graphics are top notch, sound is great, story is solid (even though I, once again, don't usually care for this type of story), performance is very good.

As far as a typing game goes, this is certainly one of the best. I chose to leave it on auto difficulty and I think it did alright keeping me challenged. I typically type around 90wpm without errors, or around 110wpm at about a 5% error rate. Despite typing this quickly, the game was able to keep me engaged, especially towards the end. It does focus on having a ton of smaller enemies rather than fewer larger enemies, and it does force you to switch between your various elemental spells to handle them sometimes. This plus a few other environmental quirks make for a reasonable set of unique battles.

I started and beat the game in one sitting of around 7 hours, although I think I had a 1 hour break in there somewhere in which I left the game running, and I was trying to be a bit of a completionist. I think it'd boil down to a 5hr one-shot if you wanted.

Again, the game is absolutely beautiful and a very good typing game. Certainly my favorite.

You might think you wouldn't play a game like this long, right? Pick each gun or type of gun up once, get frustrated when you can't figure out how a couple of the cooler ones work, play the survival game mode once?
Wrong. You're gonna come back every update excited to try the new guns, you're going to play the stupid survival mode and breach-n-clear mode with your friends every time you have a VR party. You're going to waste 3 hours at the range and not realize it. You're going to fire the minigun until the barrel is hot and then try it with 5 more just to see if you can lag the game out with it. You're going to have so many shells and tossed guns on the ground that you will lag it out. You're going to try the Christmas gamemodes that don't look that fun and you're going to spend hours in each of them anyways.
It's that good kinda VR game. An absolute must-have for your VR library, and a VR party isn't complete without it.

Runs like crap, but it's an OK game to play with friends.
I can't put my finger on what it does better than other games of the same genre, but something's there. Looking forward to the game's future.

I do wish it didn't show up as a running game.

Easy-to-use, surprisingly expansive community support, in-depth settings if you wish to customize, etc. Very good.

I loved playing this with friends. There was quick enough progress that you could play with your verteran friends after a few hours of gameplay, while simultaneously, it had enough depth that you could advance forward into incredible challenges and playstyles.
The graphics are unique and maybe a bit tiring on the eyes, but it does well for how non-demanding it is on the performance side of things.
I'll admit I don't care about the story or lore, I just want to slaughter endless waves of mobs. It does that very well. I'm sure the lore's fine too.

Even playing solo, it's easy to hop back into the game and play a couple rounds without relearning the whole game.
