I'd just like ta interject fo' uh moment. What you
refering ta as Linux, iz in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've
recently taken ta calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux iz
not an operating system unto itself, but rather
another free component o' uh fully functioning GNU
system made useful by da GNU corelibs, shell
utilities an' vital system components comprising uh
full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many geekbox users run uh modified version o' da
GNU system every day, without realizing it.
Through uh peculiar turn o' events, da version o'
GNU which iz widely used taday iz often called
"Linux", an' many o' its users iz not aware dat it
iz basically da GNU system, developed by da GNU
Project.

There really iz uh Linux, an' deez peeps iz usin'
it, but it iz just uh part o' da system dey use. Linux
iz da kernel: da program in da system dat
allocates da machine'sresources ta da other
programs dat ya run. The kernel iz an essential
part o' an operating system, but useless by itself; it
can only function in da context o' uh complete
operating system. Linux iz normally used in
combination wiff da GNU operating system: da
whole system iz basically GNU wiff Linux added, or
GNU/Linux. All da so-called "Linux" distributions
iz really distributions o' GNU/Linux. ya'll is mad stupid.
