Modern Pokemon but better and with survival game features.

Details
  • A large map with several biomes. While there's not nearly as many interesting things to find and do as in a game like TOTK, I still enjoyed exploring it, if only for discovering new pals
  • The combat is pretty fun. Catching pals is way more enjoyable than in the Pokemon games
  • Over 100 pals + some elemental variants of them. While a lot of them are very reminiscent of existing Pokemon designs I still like most of them. They do feel like they have some personality to them
  • There are some pretty funny dark undertones and parody elements
  • Every kind of pal has a special ability, making most of them feel very distinct. Some are better suited for combat while others are good at specific kinds of labor
  • There are overworld bosses you can try to beat or catch. Trying to beat them all serves as a nice goal
  • Pals have randomly selected passive skills. You can pass these down through breeding. You can also find "lucky" pals (shinies) and boss pals in caves. So there are several different ways for you to grind for particularly strong pals which is nice
  • While raid caves are a neat idea and I enjoy capturing bosses there, the way up until the cave boss is pretty lame due to a lack of variety and substance
  • The tech tree has some pretty interesting items in it that are fun to try out
  • The soundtrack is very limited so it can get repetitive
  • Sound effects are balanced pretty badly so some things are way too loud. At least they can be adjusted separately though
  • Lots of gameplay settings you can tweak to make the game less grindy or difficult
  • There is a noticeable amount of bugs and crashes
  • Models and animations feel somewhat janky but that has a strange charm to it
  • Pal AI is scuffed. Your workers will get stuck on objects or the terrain and starve occasionally
  • Crafting items takes very long in some cases so if you don't have a pal to do it for you it's quite boring
  • The performance is rather good

Actually, you should not even look at my mod at all because it's a terrible reference for translation mods due to how it works (it replaces entire files instead of only the text)

I'm afraid I won't be able to tell you much. If you ask this because I made a mod altering the text in the game then you can find everything I know just by looking at the files of the mod...

Hey, can I ask you about how to make a translation mod for Isaac?
