This mod brought back my fate in games. It is a perfect example of how important it is to have a well-polished game design. Even outdated visuals and clunky controls of the Gothic series cannot overshadow the perfection of the immersive world of Archolos. An RPG where choices matter and every small side quest have significance to the plot and brings you an adventure you'll be happy about. Just play it. You wont regret a single minute of it

I've found my dream city-building game in Against the Storm! With a unique blend of city-building and roguelike elements, the gameplay never gets stale. The visuals are stunning and perfectly set the tone, while the UI provides just the right amount of information without feeling overwhelming. Despite being in Early Access, this game is already well-polished and overflowing with content. The developers are active and constantly improving the game based on player feedback. Just a heads up, it's incredibly addictive! 🔥

I think the only reason this game takes so much hate is because it tries to take a credit from Left 4 Dead franchise while in fact it is entirely different game. It is basically a rogue-like looter shooter and should be treated like one. And this is the main reason why it shouldn't be considered as L4D killer/replacement and exactly why the L4D playerbase didn't find this game relevant. Even the setting is off with those 'ridden' wormheads that are most likely just a copyright protection measure. But it doesn't change the fact this game is actually good. Different indeed, but not bad either. And if you enjoy the roguelike genre, or, at least, enjoy gameplay elements from there, you will have a good time playing this

As the average rogue-lite genre enjoyer I can't help but say this - Backpack Hero is truly amazing. It has everything you may possibly need from the game of the genre - high replay value, a lot of combinations, decent balance between RNG and skill that keeps you engaged. And of course this game possess challenge upon player, making the sense of progression rely mostly on the situations you managed to resolve rather than on macro-boosting your stats after each playthrough (although, devs promised that feature as well!). And all of that depicted in a very stylish manner accompanied by the beautiful soundtracks.

This gem is still in EA, but so far devs made a great and consistent progress along their plans, so I tend to believe there are more new features and content to come.

Almost forgot - they allow you to download free demo to try it before the purchase! Isn't that cool, right?

Ok, this game is SOMETHING. I was skeptical about it at the beginning, not only because of outdated graphics and clunky UI but also 2 years of early access status. But once you gave this game a chance you won't be able to stop. The only two developers are putting tons of effort into PG and you can see it by frequent events and updates and also Dev's journal posting. They are actually listening to community!

But what makes this game so special? Well, this world is really immersive. All dialogs are surprisingly interesting and even funny sometimes, so it's the first game where I am actually reading these, to be honest. Players community is extremely friendly. Just to show you a quick example - I had a chance to participate in so called "Poetry Jam" at the local Inn and this is where game struck tears on my eyes: dozens of players in one place reading player-written short poems and giving them a rating, some people are playing music and it sounds like a real orchestra when over 10 ppl are playing, some people gave away tons of self-made beer and make ppl drunk, some are making synchronous dancing. It is just felt like you are really inside that world and that 2002-looking graphic makes it even more special in it's own way.

There is so much to do in this game, but you must be aware that there are a lot of micromanagement involved, especially when it comes to inventory/storage. Some parts of the game are clearly not finished and you will meet a decent amount of placeholders around. But these just making you feel like there are much more things coming into this game.

I know, the price tag might look like a big deal here, but you always have a chance to test it through the free demo, that has really enough to keep you busy in this game for maybe 15 hours. Be sure to play it, give it a chance, struggle with graphics for maybe 30 minutes. Project: Gorgon - is a good place to stay!

Really fun to play and neat art style, but not too much gameplay potential and replayability value, so it probably won't take much time to finish

Unplayable at its current state. No balance at all, you will struggle 1 versus 2+ enemies at once without any skills, healing items and even ability to disengage - once one of the enemy stands next to you, it is basically fight to the death, most of the time - your death. Most of the enemies are stronger than you and still taking you by numbers. Even if you succesfully managed to win any fight, you getting yourself in trouble with all these wounds and lack of medicine. No proper game saving mechanics, you have to RETURN to the city and PAY for ability to save your progress. Walked 4 tiles away from the city because contract requires you to do so, killed tons of enemies but died? Well, you HAVE to start over from the tavern. This is not hardcore, it is just dumb and annoying, destroying any will to play further. If devs wont reconsider all these game parts, it would be disaster for a game

Very immersive RPG game perfectly designed for VR. Graphic design looks so much better in the headset than actually on screenshots, combat is fun & requires a lot of movement which keeps you fit. And pottery!
