You are an employee of NanoTrasen, the largest manufacturer and employer within known space, albeit not by much. Taking up residence in one of their plasma science-based research facilities, you must go about your day-to-day business without finding yourself either beaten with stun batons, shot, maimed, your face melted off, turned into a monkey, eyes stabbed out, or just plain thrown out an airlock.
Why would any of the above happen? Because NanoTrasen isn't alone in this sector of space. There are a variety of threats to their business; to name a few: the secretive Syndicate, the evil Space Wizard Federation, goddamned face-raping xenoforms, nearly undetectable changelings hellbent on absorbing your DNA, and don't forget -- the ever vicious spess carp. Do not fuck with the spess carp.
