Game didnt work online properly for a year, then they released a patch that you had to pay for titled ULTRA STREET FIGHTER IV ARCADE/ULTRA edition. If you didnt pay for the update, then you kept the broken game and had a divided community to play against. That didn't matter, since online rarely worked.

0/10, poorly managed PC release, again. Refund required.

Thanks for the tip on the refund, I only had 2 hours in this failure so I requested a refund.

It's too late for my friend and I to get a refund through Steam. This all happened before Steam even allowed refunds.

This is exactly what I went through but I refused to pay for an update and thus couldnt play in the fixed version of the game with the same name.

I've read SFV is a trainwreck as well.

Is it possible to ask for a refund for SFIV now? I'm not much of a whiner, but I think it would send a message to campcom.

I certainly won't be buying Street Fighter V anytime soon, if at all. I bought Street Fighter IV : Game of the Year addition awhile back, (before the Ultra edition was released). My friend bought the Ultra edition a bit later. We couldn't play until I "upgraded" to the Ultra edition. Quite a big turnoff having to upgrade a GOTY edition, just to be able to play with a friend online. On top of that, the only reason he bought the Ultra edition is because he didn't have the game, and wanted to play online with me. According to our games' list we have on Steam, it looked like we had the same version of the game once he bought SF4 Ultra. It's a shame really. Unfortunately as much as I love Street Fighter, it left a sour taste in my mouth.
