This is the only other game that has come close to scaring me as much as Amnesia: The Dark Descent. I definetly reccommend this to survival-horror fans.

Being Frictional's first game they hadn't yet perfected the terror that we come to know in their later titles.

That being said, Penumbra has a really intense atmosphere and great sound design as well as challenging puzzles. The only thing that may kill this game for you is the clunky combat, but if you make it through to the end you're going to want to rip right into Penumbra: Black Plague.

If you liked Morrowind and/or Oblvion and don't have this game yet, there is something wrong with you.

Few games are as immersive as The Elder Scrolls, Skyrim does not dissapoint.
