Hey, thanks!

Sorry, didn't get the invite til after midnight. I have to play Morrowind with the Steam overlay off. Not that I would have joined. I'm pretty clueless about TF2.

Holy shit, you can get The Void on Steam? If I had a PC I'd be all over that shit.

So that little resolution not to spend too much on the Summer Sale isn't going too well, is it?

I don't think I can. No idea how to upload a video, and I'm not downloading the TF2 video thing or the Source thing just to get a badge.

My Empire of Britain fell apart in less than 20 years, btw... Dynasty destroyed thanks to the fact that I married off too many sisters into patrilinear marriages.
Ah well, off to the next. ^_^

The Gameological Society is an independent-minded online magazine that explores games as works of art and pop culture. Our voice is thoughtful, witty, and curious—informed by a passion for play and grounded in a broad cultural awareness.

This is a group for commenters/readers/everyone to get together on Steam and maybe play some games together.

In keeping with The Gameological Society's idea of not being jerks to each other, it should go without saying that this group will not tolerate hate speech or harrassment of any kind.

I cannot, in good faith, recommend this game. The voice "acting" is horrible, and that's apparent even though the actors admittedly have nothing to work with in the script, and a plot that plods along with only the loosest justification for its characters (but a laughably healthy appreciation for cursing). The PC port is especially atrocious, given that it does not even consider that one might use a mouse and keyboard instead of a gamepad. The fighting is somewhat similar to Dragon Age 2 or Batman: Arkham City, yet less engaging than either of those, as it has a targeting system that loses track of the enemy constantly. And then, to top it all of, it's got that same feces-and-metal color palatte as every other game, plus a dosage of rust that does nothing to make it visually more enjoyable.

Ridiculously complicated, ridiculously rewarding.
