Grappling hook. GRAPPLING HOOK, DAWG. Grappling hook. Also, a bomb-ass soundtrack and some ridiculously tough challenge rooms. Best get it, son.
A wonderful game with a torn paper aestetic that's quite lovely. The minimal beatbox music is fun but I would have preferred a more fleshed-out score. In regards to gameplay, the controls are a bit sketchy with your character being exceptionally floaty and slugglish. The world-rotation mechanic is the cause of a lot of headaches as it's just an odd way to move around and indecision will often lead to death as your character gains momentum the longer you hover in the air.
An underwater romp through beautiful and mysterious environments. Aquaria is incredibly colorful with creatures and locales that feel full of life and energy. As far as gameplay is concerned, the game is akin to Metroid or Castlevania, with sprawling labyrinthine ruins and abilities that must be acquired to access new areas.
