This was great on xbox, and it's even better for the PC, as it doesn't seem to have as much problem with lag. It is a teaching tool that also allows you to play some of your favorite songs at whatever skill level you personally are at rather than waiting to play your favorite song until you learn more. The difficulty is adaptive, which is good for those learning- I could see how it would be annoying to those that already know how to play as you can't tell it not to adapt. I definitely like the fretway better than Rock Band pro guitar, and the progression is a bit more varied. All in all, if you're looking for a tool to help learn, this is a good one. The only downside I've found is that the Real Tone cable seems to disconnect at times, and you have to exit and go to the audio properties before it will work again.
The setting is inspired- if not exactly original, it is done well. The story isn't unique, but it frames the game well. With its first person stealth tactics and immersion techniques, it draws you into the world, and seeing the effects of your choices makes you interested in the game. It is so well done that the only things I complain about are glaring because it's otherwise very good at ramping the suspension of disbelief. The game appears open ended, but it only is within the missions. The lighting cannot be destroyed. But in the end, the negatives are minor, only made glaring by how good the game is. Definitely recommended.
Pretty cool game- reminds me of the old school arcade game Qix, but less abstract and with a fantasy twist. A bit pricey for what you get, but if you can get it on sale for $5 or less, I'd recommend.
