Wow what an insane game. I was already totally hyped about this one, since I love shmups and played other edelweiss productions already, I knew this will not turn out badly.

So first what makes it different than other shmups, you have a f*** big sword. It was the first shmups I played where you fight close combat.
At the beginning I was a little disoriented because most danmakus/bullet hell you have to evade the bullets, so every new game mechanic which involve you to "absorb" bullets makes the gameplay really interesting.
In addition I dislike the limited continue system in other shmups, these were acceptable in the arcade era but not nowadayws so I prefer the checkpoint system, where you can instant starts over.
And even the story feels great, ok nothing more then the standard cliche anime but who cares, I like the ending, I like the characters (awesome seiyuu) and since it is mostly a highscore/gameplay-driven game it is a nice extra.

What is left to say, actually I only finished this in easy mode (yet) because I struggle on my first try at normal which is great, because at first I did not understand the score/health system and in my opinion shmups have to be difficult. If I could finish a shmups on first try in normal something is definetly wrong. So for people who say it is short and do not have enough content, this is not a game made for them, you have to set you own goal and play it over and over until you beat the next stage, get higher score, no damage etc.
Play this game one or two hour, get better with every run until finally beat the stage and this will be the most satisfying game moment ever, at least for me.

Thomas was alone, a game with a unique art style, a great soundtrack and interesting puzzles. You control blocks which have different skills and need to work together to finish the level. Even if the characters didnt speak, with the help of a narrator, they have much more character than some other AAA games. it was a relaxing trip, maybe a little too short but for a little indie game that was completly fine.

After finishing Bioshock Infinite and Bioshock,I thought I could also play Bioshock 2. Before that I heard a lot of bad review about it, but I dont think it is that bad at all. Story-wise it cannot top the other two but the gameplay was fun and exciting. Too bad it recycled a little bit too much, the plasmids were most the same. the weapon also didnt differ, but it was still a good FPS. Maybe my biggest problem was that the character was too strong. Ok I was a big Daddy, so I have to be kinda OP. But the game constanly throws healthpacks at me, my wallet were almost always full, and ammo are nearly unlimited. So in the end a nice game, but isnt as good as the 1 and infinite.

After a lot of recommendation I read, I had to try out this game. And wow, this game is so insane. I dont play lot of nowadays shooters(cod, bf), so I cant compare them with spec ops, but I can imagine that the story here is so much better.
Here in Spec Ops you are not the hero, who fight for his own land or save many people. The characters are so humanlike that you actually care about them. The Developers also had a interesting moral system, where you dont simply choose good or bad but lets the players action decide if they handles the situation in a morally good or bad way.
So is everything great in Spec Ops?
I have to say, the gameplay was kinda generic, mostly new area, shoot all people next area. But I died a lot in this game, especially at the end (probably because I suck), although that supported the way war has to be, one or two hits down, even this life regeneration kinda disrupted it.
So should one still play it? Totally, I love games with good stories and when you are searching for good story driven TPS, Spec Ops is the choice.

I expected to TTM to be a storydriven good game, but I was still suprised how well it turned out. Gameplaywise it was bad, it felt like the puzzle and exploration were too forced, personally I would left them out or improve them. But nonetheless play it for the story. Has great great characters, I found it fresh to play as the 3rd person who is involved in the setting. Also a great idea to backwards the story. And the soundtrack ist one of the best I have ever heard in a videogame, especially the song is awesome. Probably one of my favourite storygames besides walking dead. Would totally recommend and cant wait for more episodes.

Great game. Actually I am Hong Kong Chniese and I couldnt stop laughing when they started to talk in cantonese. I am not sure, but a setting in HK is the first time I have ever seen in a Video Game. So it was really refreshing.
I also played GTA 4, so I can compare them both. While this one has the way better story, a more free hand combat system and better missions, GTA has the bigger world and car physics. Nevertheless, both are great games.

Alan Wake started great. The story was interesting and the characters were cool. But it was annoying as hell to fight against flying chairs?? and cars and boxes and frigdes.... This was a pretty story driven game, but I think the combat was too arkward.
Mostly it is the same pattern, flashlight on and shooting.

Actually I found Shank a little bit repetitive at the end. Not much more besides killing enemies with different weapons. I just wanted to finished this one before I start to paly Shank 2. But I wished that they could implement a combo system.

I cant describe this game... It is so wonderful, such a beautiful masterpiece.
The storytelling, the characters, the music, everything was fitting. I already loved bioshock 1 but infinite topped everything. I think in terms of storytelling there isnt a better shooter out there now. One of the few games I would probably give a second run. There are not many games out there, where I read up the wiki for more information, not about the gameplay but about the world Columbia. It is such a living world, I just want to kow more about the it and the background. Easily, my Game of the year 2013.

As someone who played, Gothic 1, 2+ addon and even a bit 3... I really like Risen. First play was like wow, it feels like gothic with better graphics. And this is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Ok a bit boring in the end, because of hack and slay dungeons only, but hey this is the only RPG where I can recognize the npcs and their locations instantly, like every Gothic.
