GI Joe + Micro Machines + Crisp Explosions = fun!
This is a twin stick shooter, and while the keyboard mouse combo works, it's awkward to control because most of the roads are not straight horizontal/vertical and become difficult to steer properly. You can get use to it, but you'll most likely never feel like you're utilizing your full potential. (and driving badly might make you take too long and lose your damage streak!)
This game is very aesthetically pleasing, both visually and aurally. It's a very simple game with a couple modes of play. The different modes don't really change how the game is played but rather they change what the end goal of each level is. Campaign mode wants you to meet a quota, Arcade mode is just a race for points and Puzzle mode is preset board positions with an objective to fulfill.
It's got this charm about it that makes it kind of easy to pick up and get into for a few moments, but unfortunately I ended up getting lost not too far in. The game teaches you what to do, but it doesn't really tell you what to look for. I get this feeling that there's some patterns to master and recognize, but I'm not seeing them yet.
It's still a fun time killer though, especially Speed Arcade. If you do happen to figure out how the game is played though, you might derive even more enjoyment out of this. Not too shabby.
I have no idea why this game is so fun, but it is. The game plays pretty much like the screenshots imply. Run around and shoot things in a twinstick shooter kind of way, except a story path instead of an arena. Also the floor WILL be covered in alien guts. Like every inch. It's pretty over the top in how much you shoot and how much there is to shoot. This game is awesome, and it should be pretty damn cheap for being the hilarious game it is.
