The 9th SS 'Hohenstaufen' Panzer Division, was a crack German SS Unit, that faught mainly in the Normandy Campaign, but saw little, or no Combat in the Eastern Front. The 9th SS was surrounded in the Falaise gap, during Operation Cobra, and would be remembred, because despite being flanked from all angles, they were the one of the few German Units that escaped with the FEWEST casualities. Their training prepared them for anti-air defences, but they proved valid soldiers in Infantry Combat.
The 9th SS 'Hohenstaufen' Realism Unit on the other hand, is as true to the Unit as it is to it's soldats. We're a community of battle hardened Red Orchestra Ostfront players who aren't only a good challenge to deploy against, but to deploy with. A part of the Global Conflict Gaming Community, their reputation isn't only growing through Red Orchestra, but hit titles like Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (4th ID), and Company of Heroes.
