do not play yu-gi-oh. you will not have fun, and heres why:

in order to get more cards, you need to complete daily missions, and these daily missions can only be completed in online mode, meaning you will face other people playing whatever they can to win. this basically nullifies roughly uuuhh... 8000 cards in the game (because those will never be strong enough on online mode, and there is no incentive at all to even get these cards because you have no place to use them).

and online (ranked or not) the major factor in winning/losing depends on a LOT of things.

-are you going first?
-do you have SPECIFICALLY "Maxx C" and/or "Ash Blossom" (cards that everyone MUST play, because they are so good they are basically mandatory)?
-does your opponent have these mentioned cards instead (if they do, you are screwed)?
...and then being good at the game is just one of these factors.

but personally, the worst part is that a lot of the time, you will know what your opponent is playing, what their strategy is, and what their weak points are (because at high tier everyone kinda just plays the same best cards over and over), but that doesnt mean anything. it all comes down to just luck, and basically just drawing the staple cards caleld "hand traps" in the community when the game starts, on top of playing whatever the best monsters are.

and just to crap ever more all over the game knowledge you might have about the game, every few months, really overpowered cards will be released, making the current ones absolute garbage in comparison (thats why i said that roughly 8000 cards in the whole collection are useless). so the cards you have and the investment you made are nothing, your knowledge is nothing, your skill is nothing, nothing matters, just win the coin flip, go first, hope you drew whatever the current staple cards are and win.

this is the only game ive been playing nonstop almost everyday for multiple years at this point. i also have it on my phone, and you can have the same Muse Dash account on both platforms.

gameplay is 10/10. the only rhythm game with platformer mechanics ive seen, ever. its really cool that you dont lose the game by missing notes, but by rather by getting hit and dying. you can jump over enemies and obstacles instead of hitting them, finishing a song with ZERO points, wich is hilarious haha!! some songs seem to use all mechanics of the game to their fullest, in very creative ways.

a lot of songs lean into this anime nightcore future funk kinda vibe, wich can get boring after a while. but with years of support and updates, there are a reasonable number of songs with different styles now, so thats very cool.

the range of difficulty is very wide, wich is fantastic!! if youre a hardcore veteran, or someone that never touched a videogame before, or anywhere in between, there are hundreds of songs that fit your skill level.

i think the visuals being very suggestive and sexual is a turn off, but you can change the visual of the girls into (very poorly drawn xD) cats if you have the DLC, sending all the boobs into the shadow realm forever.

aside from the obnoxious pink glitter and anime boobs everywhere, i seriously recommend it, its a very fun and addicting game.

The DLC is expensive because theres like more than a hundred songs on it so tbh its hella worth buying it too.

photoshop but without all the bad parts of photoshop, like:

- actually good for drawing, no need for extra programs to make it good
- no lag
- it crashed ONCE on me ever
- no annoying crap like having to make a subscription or account
- small filesize, no clutter
- fast
- has all tools i could ever need, and i am a professional artist that also makes videogames
- its not from adobe, meaning they wont make bad decisions just to take our money

there ARE cons, like:

- never use the last version, please do a favor to yourself and rollback to a stable version
- cant use it out of the box, you gotta go in the settings and change stuff
- adobe legally owns a few tools (patents), meaning no other product can have them

GOOD THINGS
(im not just hating the game, so ill try to be fair and at least say a few good things about it)

- there is an affection system and you get rewards if you play your favorite cards over and over (thats awesome)

- the artstyle is great and everything looks awesome together

- there are multiple ways to play outside of just ladder, i played the "quick crawl" mode and it is pretty decent

DURING GAMES

- when matches start, the only clue you have of your opponents strategy is their rival card. matches are completely unpredictable otherwise, since the pool of cards is huge (147 cards)

- you can level up your cards (with real money, mind you, through needless extra steps like buying "abyss orbs", then exchanging those for either the card itself if it is in the daily shop, or packs that give you a chance to get duplicates and THEN you use those to level up. why is this game like this. i hate it.), meaning if you play against someone with roughly the same deck as you, you might win just because your cards have higher level

- sometimes you will face a deck that just counters your strategy and you pretty much lose before the match starts

- tbh in the end it doesnt matter how skilled you are, but how powerful your deck is

- ladder takes forever because there are no players around, and most of the time you end up against a random AI instead

- visual effects are seconds long and cant be turned off and a matches are almost twice as long because of this

- some rival cards are clearly stronger than others for basically no reason

OUTSIDE OF GAMES

- its free to download, but filled with microtransations everywhere. multiple currencies, daily missions, season passes, everything you can think about that your average pay-to-win game has, this game has

- the main way to get any and every card is with random packs AKA lootboxes

- all avatars, in-game reactions and skins are locked behind paywalls, but at least you can still get cards just by playing the game

- again, visual effects cannot be turned off, so sometimes you will just stand there waiting for a number increase or whatever the heck

...

seriously, this game has so many issues imo its unbelieavable, the only reason im still playing is because i love rivals of aether, stay away from this thing, or play it on your phone while you poop
