If you like the hack-and-slash action of Diablo, Torchlight, and their action-RPG ilk, but not so much the fiddly character management, Deathspank is the game for you.
You'll probably get more enjoyment out of it if you are an RPG lover, since the writing makes heavy reference to classic tropes of the genre.
Simply put, DeathSpank is a humorous, silly adventure through a somewhat expansive fantasy world, with plenty of crazy weapons and armor to collect as well as monsters to vanquish - for great justice!
