Why do I continue with Source?

I started out as a Halo2x modder, I still have my old xbox and Halo2 on it, but sadly console modding is kinda doomed from the start. So thats why I moved on to Source. But now I'm looking into the UDK.

Computer Specs:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium Edition [6.1 Build 7601] (x64)
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 970 Black Edition(Quad Core, clocked at 3.5(stock))
RAM: G Skill DDR3-PC3-12800 16GB
VRAM: 1,024MB (1GB)
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5770

I can not play online! Ping is 1,300+ ms(1.3 second delay) and upload is less then 1/3 a mbps. Basically, really, really bad lag online.

Found it fun to play, kinda short. It's also the best version of the Source engine we have code access to.
