I've been eating and playing games for so long that I seriously doubt whether I can leave now under my own power.
This game is designed so that you can get through every section no matter how you build your character. It gives you the freedom of having an extremely easy playthrough or ridiculously difficult. You have almost complete freedom when choosing how to complete missions and the game responds accordingly. For example, at the end of the first mission, it appears that there are only 4 outcomes from whether you kill or let Zeke go and whether the hostage survives. The game doesn't make it clear that you can choose to fight him and subdue him nonlethally. This changes dialog significantly with NPCs after the confrontation, and makes Zeke pop up in a jail cell later. Deus Ex also rewards you with small backstory details if you care to dig in and do some exploring/reading. For what it's worth, this is the first game I have ever cared about getting all the achievements.
