Dearest Margaret,
It has been nearly a year since we last saw eachother, yet it feels like a decade. Every night I fall asleep to the sounds of my fellow men screaming in pain. Asking for death. With this is the ever growing realization of my mortality, and that one day you may be greeted with a letter of my departure from this world.
I can only hope that my valiant efforts go rewarded. I will not go without a fight my love. I will draw my polished steel from the unyielding earth and strike within those who oppose, fear into their hearts. I will lay down my vengeance upon them with great vigor.
I dwell within the shadows of my own iniquity, I strike with a burning fury, the spirits guide my hand, and my arrows strike true. I can only hope, that this is enough, to survive these war torn fields. Until we meet again, my dearest Margaret.
