Stupid log in prompts and forcing account creation when I've already paid for the game. Losing access to Frontier account email = losing access to a game you purchased. DRM is never justifiable.

Really fun game, I love it.

Can't recommend it because of this really annoying DRM. I constantly get an error telling me that my steam account can't be verified. Need to launch the game >10 times to actually get it to work. So annoying.

Incompatible with SLI, second GPU sits doing absolutely nothing. How can a AAA title in 2015/16 not support SLI whatsoever?

If you're hoping for a Generals spiritual successor, this is not it. I really want to like this game, I really do. But the animations are not polished at all, the emphasis on resource gathering is way too high and the story line is just a bunch of stock photos of people in a newsreel format. R.U.S.E's storyline had fully animated people and a more indepth idea. This game's missions seems shallow, linear and repetitive.

Skirmishes on the other hand are quite nice to play once you learn where the resources on the map are and once you get the hang of it. The game has a very steep learning curve to expect to be absolutely crushed by an easy or medium enemy in your first few skirmishes.

The game does not seem too well optimised though. I'm running two GTX 970s in SLI and the framerate rarely goes above 40fps, and that's with AA turned off. I think it might be an SLI issue so people in single cards might have a better experience? Either way I'm waiting for a patch to fix it.

I would love to recommend this game, but it just feels too clunky in its current state and the story if just too linear. The animations and visuals need polishing off as well, the videos on the store page make the game look a lot better than it actually is.
I can live with the story being crappy as the real replay value comes from multiplayer and skirmishes, but until the visuals are polished off, and some of the units are better balanced and there is less resource gathering emphasis, I cannot recommend this game.

If you're looking for an experience like Red Alert 2 then you're not going to find it here. The framerate is locked to 30fps, there is no support for 1080p. The story line is good, however. Follows on with RA1 and RA2's cheesy theme. However because you're locked to 30fps, with no real way of unlocking it, and because you can hardly zoom out so you are constantly stuck very close to map, and not to mention the units being incredibly sluggish, I cannot recommend this game.

One of the most well optimised games I've ever played. I'm using a mid-tier card, a GT-740M and my laptop will max out this game at ultra with 2X MSAA giving me around 40fps at 1920x1080. So if you have a low-end PC then do not fear, I'm sure there's a graphics setting which will give you silky-smooth gameplay at 60fps. As for the actual gameplay, very intuitive, a little too much dialogue for me, but hands down one of the best racing games I've played.
