I bought Dear Esther on a whim, I literally saw it on the front page, and decided that a mod that became a standalone game MUST be good. It soon became one of the better ways that I have spent 9.99$. Marketed as "ghost story" modification, it is nothing like any other mod I've played before. WIth the perfect balance of story, visuals, and audio. Dear Esther has become one of my favorite games/modifications that I have ever played.

It has been a while since I've played a game that has evoked the same emotions that LIMBO has. The amazing visuals and style of this game is some of the best that I have ever seen, and the game also serves as another perfect example of what the emotional range that a game can deliver.The puzzles and gameplay utilizes an interesting new game mechanic that will keep you interested the entire length. The ending itself has also kept me speechless. One of the best that I have ever played.
