I'm not usually big on adventure games, but Machinarium is so charming that it won me over. Features lovely hand-painted graphics, an excellent soundtrack, and a generous (if tedious) integrated hint system.
A clever puzzle game about programming and chemical engineering. Your first reaction to each new puzzle will be "oh, well that's impossible." Then you'll start thinking laterally and figure out a creative way to complete it.
Multiplayer quick-draw robot sword-fighting with Mario Galaxy physics.
