This game is 100% fun, of all shooters this is my personal favourite. After 4 years I started it again and was overwhelmed how many players there still are. This game is definitely worth getting bought by you!
Of all Battlefield games so far I think BF2 has the most tactical gameplay and it comes with an unlock system for weapons, so newer Battlefield veterans will have some familarity when playing.
I absolutely recommend BF2 to anyone who likes to play FPS and who haven't played it yet. And to everyone else too.

Halo meets Global Agenda meets UT2k4 meets TF2. A decent game when it comes to teamplay. You can't do anything useful in Section 8 without an intelligent team and that is exactly the downside of this game. Many servers have lots of bots to fill the missing player slots and that makes team based operations a bit more messy than they should be.
The features in this game, lots of weapons, buildings, vehicles, jetpacks, perks, huge maps, lots of game modes, big servers for lots of players and all this still couldn't make the community of this game large enough to get a decent game going which I find, like in many other games, unfortunate and sad. This game totally deserves a few thousand more active players. You could say it's the UT3 I would have wished for (instead of the actual UT3).

This game is a really fancy made physics demo. It gives 3D gaming the possibility to finally use all three dimensions, because you can rotate in any direction in free space. This is at the same time what makes this game awesome, unique and exciting to play. There might not be a huge community of gamers who play this game but there's always one or two full servers.
This game also has a UT2k4/CoD style ranking and stats system.
I personally would love to play this game more often but it only runs on DirectX 10 and I have to wait for my dual GPU until I can play it with decent fps.
