Early Access Review
This game is incredibly immersive, realistic, and terrifying at times. Because this game is still in early access, there are quite a few bugs in the game, the most salient being when you make an arrest, their weapon(s) just disappears. This is to be expected, and I have faith that the optimization is only going to get better from here on out. With that, here are some annoying things that I think can be changed:

TL;DR: This game is awesome! Buy it and get the DLC for it right now!

1.) The ADS speed is painfully slow. I really wish I could ADS a lot quicker. Games like Ground Branch have this beat by far.

2.) Some maps will be buggy in that you've secured all hostages, but the objective doesn't clear.

3.) The muzzle rise when you equip a suppressor to the rifles is unacceptable. This makes it nearly impossible to perform a standard two-tap on a suspect.

4.) No IR illuminator when using NODS, and you have to choose between white-light and IR Laser when putting on attachments, I'd like to have both but thats just me.

5.) The throw on the white-light is also really lacking, a proper Surefire Scout light would have no issues with pushing through barriers like fences. (Although this might be more of a hardware component optimization thing).

6.) The choice of weapons aren't that great, to be frank, but I suspect this will improve in time.

7.) Loadouts only allows for 4 magazines for rifle and pistol. I don't think this is sufficient for a raid when you could be in longer firefights.

8.) Kit customization is something that is lacking as well. I would like to have a loadout that I can switch to for raids, where I can carry more than 4 of these devices in that loadout, but I'm willing to wait for that!

9.) The NODS auto-gate pretty seriously.

10.) Can't use the Comp M5 on the G36C :(

11.) More about kit customization, the option to have more than 4 magazines for rifle and pistol is seriously lacking.

12.) Maybe a riot control mode? Or something like where your team spawns there are crowds that need to be dealt with.

13.) Integrating a 40mm launcher that lets you fire flashbangs, CS, and stinger grenades, into a building/room would be super cool.

14.) Overwatch/sniper positions for DEA type raids would be pretty sweet also.

15.) No paint/camo options for the guns in the game either. I understand why it isn't here and how difficult it can be to implement, but adding some color here and there couldn't hurt. The HK416 with the FDE rail, CH, and stock is a perfect example of adding some color.

With all of those annoying and pesky things out of the way, the following are things about the game that really impressed me:

1.) The sounds in this game are incredibly realistic. The little details such as spent brass making a different sound on different materials is unbelievably realistic and super immersive.

2.) The sounds of suppressed rifles are also insanely realistic, and they do in fact change from gun to gun and from indoors to outdoors. This is not an easy feat to achieve, and makes the gameplay that much better overall!

3.) The menu for using the AI team mates is incredibly intuitive and easy to use!

4.) The AI team mates are incredibly well modeled in terms of how they ought to behave. This alone is HUGE!

5.) The game gives you some idea as to what it would be like to be a real life SWAT officer in that if you take too long between getting a hostile to surrender and then restraining them, they will produce a second weapon and charge you. Making the game go from 0 to 100 REAL quick.

6.) The use of tactical devices such as the mirror gun has been incredibly helpful in staying alive particularly in raids.

7.) If you turn around from spawn in the drug house map (Barricaded Suspects), you can see a city skyline with partially lit skyscrapers and everything. That is one aspect of these types of games that devs just don't include. The fact that life is still very much happening in the city during a mission REALLY put things into perspective.

8.) The fact that you have to secure evidence from suspects and report them is also incredibly realistic. You don't see that in the movies or any other game for that matter.

9.) The layouts on most maps is also super diverse and really makes you think tactically: You think that this door just wraps around to the hallway you were in, nope! It leads you deeper into whatever building you're in! This keeps you on your toes and can be overwhelming. Again, this is an aspect of being a SWAT officer that just isn't captured in media/games.

10.) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THE SOUNDS OF THE SUPPRESSED RIFLES. If you equip the ARN-18 and add the suppressor and then fire it outdoors, it makes the distinct sound of a suppressed .300 Black Out rifle, which is super cool!

11.) The menu, layouts, and interactions between other players is actually pretty easy to learn, which I wasn't expecting.

12.) The maps make you want to play tactically, and it feels SO good when you get things right.

13.) The enemy AI loves to move around and you need to be on your toes and make sure that you account for all bad guys.

14.) The NODS in the game are actually insanely clear for what they are, using those fancy white phosphorus tubes with generous FOV is also insanely cool.

15.) This game has genuinely has made me reconsider my whole approach to playing tactically. I would rather do things right and take my time than try to beat a clock.

16.) The active shooter mode is the most terrifying thing I've experienced in a game. Seriously. This adds yet another element of hardcore realism to the game taking it to an entirely different, perhaps too real, level.

17.) Height over bore and overall ballistic model are insanely close to realistic. The higher your optic, in CQB, the more of a hold you'll have to use to get your rounds where you want them. Too few games take this into account, imo.

This game is far from complete, but you really couldn't tell. The overall polish on this game is insanely good for the level of completion that its at right now and I wish the devs the best of luck moving forward! I can't wait to see how much this game improves over time. I purchased the DLC because I read about what happened with the dev team. The FBI drip was just a bonus.

Because of the immersion that this game offers, I really can't enjoy other tactical shooters at the moment. This game does a great job at drawing you in and keeping you in!

This game is so immersive its scary. Everything from the sounds to the sometimes challenging AI is super well done. You can't exactly lone wolf this game either, you have to work together as a team, I really like that about this game. If you haven't bought it yet, I can assure you that its worth full retail without question.

This sim is really good. Everything from the AI all the way up to the competitive servers are a delight. Said servers don't always run flawlessly it should be said, but its very challenging and as a result its very rewarding. I would love to see more tracks and a wider selection of cars. That would be a nice addition. Also, the Force Feedback controller at least for a Logitech G920 sometimes feels vague. The physics engine is absolutely sublime, and really makes you appreciate the skill involved in driving these GT3 beasts. I like the overall feel of it. I would like to see more modding capabilities, but we're far off from that. A few tracks that DESPERATELY need to be here are Nordschleife, Suzuka, Fuji, and, Imola. I genuinely can't wait to see how this physics models will handle the bigger tracks. I think this sim has a VERY bright future and can't wait to see what Kunos can accomplish! I would rate this sim a 7/10 at its current state, but I only see it improving.

Pretty damn good for it being on the open market for only a day. That being said I do have some aspects pf this game that I hate. So much effort went into this game just based on the details. Unfortunately, the details make the whole game. For instance: You can't show me all of these shiny graphics AT MY FACE without having some functionality behind it. When you compare this game to others of its type, Assetto Corsa, you find that this game is nowhere near that level. I will give SlightlyMad Studios props, seeing as Assetto Corsa took 12 months before it got really good, but that still doesn't give you the excuse to not be able to have changable aspects of things like: Steering Speed, (For steering input) Camber, Toe Angles, Fuel Loads, and, Aero Packages to name a few. The reason I have such respect for Assetto Corsa is that they allow you to change almost every single aspect of all of the cars you can get for it. What do I get to change on Project Cars? Tire Pressure, (Which isn't even measured in PSI) Angle of the Brake Ducts, Steering Sensitivity, and, brake pressure. The limit of changable parameters per vehicle really diludes the whole experience, but the only thing you have to make up for it is shiny graphics? Thats really ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Even for $50.00, thats really ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Assetto Corsa only cost me $30.00 and I usually spend 4-8 minutes in the pits just setting up the car before I even start driving it. It seems that Project Cars' only good thing is graphics, at the moment, because my god is it beautiful. The sound isn't quite there, they'll figure it out, and the physics are woeful at this point in development. The list of cars, as well as the variety of them is pretty nice as well. But the driving is pretty bad unless you're using a wheel which I'm not. I had really high hopes for this game when it was being shoved down my throat by everyone on the forums, I have to say that I'm rather disappointed. Somehow, I have this feeling that even though the devs kept delaying it, they still needed more time. The game doesn't feel finished. I have a hunch that within 6-8 months this game will quickly be on its way up through the list. Don't bother buying it until then. I almost forgot to mention THIS GAME DOES NOT WORK AT ALL WITH OVERCLOCKED GPUS! BEWARE! It took me to reinstall this 15.0GB bad boy twice before I realised that.

Early Access Review
This game has an amazing atmosphere about it to begin with. I find it hard to play it in less than 4-5 hour stints. I just can't help myself. Odds are, you're checking out this game because you like cars. LOOK NO FURTHER! With everything from the physics engine, to the graphics that look frighteningly realistic, this Racing Sim has it all. Beautiful layouts of tracks, cars, intuitive UI for modding the cars' geometry with various suspension setups; that help to not only enhance your Sim experience but to teach about the way cars work in general. I have only played for <100 hours but thats because I thought I could make Raceroom Racing Experience a little bit more like this game.ITS NOT POSSIBLE! I'VE TRIED! The attention to detail really enhances one's experience. I haven't had a single dull second in this sim. In summation, you should stop reading this and buy the game already!
