with a high octane single-player and excelent multiplayer, call of duty: black ops is great... when it's working. at the time of writing this review, the single player has been fixed but the multiplayer is having serious performance issues. none of the suggested tweaks or released updates have helped this game, and often times the updates make it even worse. many computers, even above recommended hardware, are having difficulty running this game.

if you already have this trainwreck of a game, im sorry that you have to suffer like i do. but if you havent bought it yet, i'd check the forums periodically until owners of the game give the thumbs up before you include yourself in this lack-of-a-significant-update hell.
