It's just not very fun. The idea of roguelite games is pretty established. Click things, level up, get new things to maked you more powerful. This game just isn't that compelling. The graphics are pretty enough, the presentation and town are pretty enough, but the basic gameplay loop is just drab. This is a $5 game at best.

Fun little shooter, well worth the price. Good basic gameplay loop.

Meh. It's an arena shooter. Your first 15 minutes will be exactly like your next 2 hours. You shoot. The music is good, the weapons are pretty good. There are no RPG elements, there isn't really anything that keeps you excited to keep playing. I loved the developer's previous effort, Neon Chrome. This one just isn't very fun.

Punch Club has a great concept. Skill trees, time and resource management, variety of activities.

In practice it's just frustrating. Combat is a quick time event - you can't even watch the animations for fear of missing a flashing button. Combat feels like it was designed for mobile where your eyes can watch the buttons and the rest of the screen at the same time. On PC I have no idea if I'm winning or losing, I'm just watching for flashing buttons. BORING.

Maybe it's more fun when you learn the game but after 4.5 hours I was done.

Fun game for a handful of hours. I got my $7.50 worth but cannot recommend it at full price.

Great concept, low poly graphics are charming, simplistic mechanic and driving simulations. Much of your success is determined by luck - finding abandoned cars, boxes of valuable loot and prices at each store. The rare traffic pileup is frustrating and can end an otherwise successful trip.

I loved Death Skid Marks and still love the style of play and art of the designer. I love that it's a bit slower paced, DSK was a little too fast for me. Added mechanics keep you busy - collection of money/healing, shields, energy/ammo for weapons and crew actions at the end of each round.

Fission Superstar X has lots of charm, great graphics, great style. The gameplay doesn't quite live up to DSK's action but it's deeper and fun in a different way.

Great pixelart graphics, good concept, boring execution. The idler concept isn't terrible. Not enough decisions to make, not enough variation in gameplay or progression. Grind for resources to proceed to the next tier, click a few things, rinse and repeat.

Everspace is a great game. Graphics, controls/movement, gameplay loop are all excellent. Rouge-lite mechanics feature currency with perks that carry over to subsequent runs. Random drops and basic crafting. New ships introduce different styles of play. 6d0f movement can be tricky at first. This game handles more like the old corridor shooter Descent than it does a dogfighting sim.

Time pressure is annoying as you're learning but pretty quickly isn't that bad once you get used to the pace. If it annoys you to leave a corner of the map unsearched Everspace might push your buttons.

My only complaint it's the "final" level of the main campaign. It'll take you dozens of hours to learn the game, develop a build you enjoy... and the final level has mechanics that are MUCH different than the combat up to that point. Your build might not be compatible at all. Your skills you developed might not serve you well. I don't feel like that finale matches the rest of the gameplay. I didn't enjoy it.

At $4 this is a good game. Perma death rogue lite, FTL-lite, prequel to the excellent Airheart. However, it has very little action (passive glider flying avoiding bad buys and their bullets) to collect water aka cash.

I completed it in 4 hours and don't really feel compelled to play again soon. There are items that are worthless except for fufilling dialogue options. There are a few basic upgrades for your glider that make the water collection mini game much easier to almost trivial when the gilder is fully upgraded.

Overall, it's not nearly as good as a game as Airheart the twin stick shooter. It was still fun if a bit shallow.

The graphics and sound are good, making tacos is fun, the shooting game is fun enough. I want this game to be a fun roguelike with tacos, mutants and guns. Instead, it's a mobile port with poor balance.

Steep difficulty means if you don't have a lucky couple of first trips you're dead on your 3rd or 4th. Even then you better hope that things go perfectly. After 4 hours of repeating the first 3-5 trips of the game (having memorized every taco recipe) I finally got frustrated and quit.

I suspect the game balance is built around microtransactions in the original mobile version where you can buy upgrades or better trucks for real world cash. The same exact game is FREE on mobile devices. I tried it on my tablet and sure enough there is a prominent button to buy tacobucks or something that allows you to repair for .05c or buy a big gun for $1.

This just isn't a good game despite a cool concept and good pixelart graphics. I have no idea why it has a 'mostly positive' rating.
