This is Bethesda doing what they do best: building a big, beautiful sandbox and turning you loose in it. Though there are still some bugs that need ironing out, since the 1.3.10 patch allowing Large Address Aware, the game runs smoothly, is gorgeous and fun to play. I'm admittedly a total Bethesda / Elder Scrolls fangirl though, so perhaps keep that in mind...

Extremely under-appreciated RPG. No, Alpha Protocol's combat isn't perfect, it is a bit buggy, and there are some disappointingly stereotypical female characters to deal with, but still I'd recommend it based on the excellence of the hybrid RPG elements, and general storytelling. Gamers who enjoyed the decision/consequenses aspect of Bioware's Mass Effect might want to check this one out. Obsidian took what Bioware did with their (mostly meaningless) Renegade/Paragon dialogue options and gave the choices actual weight. Your actions and attitude truly effect the outcome of the story. It's a shame Obsidian didn't have more developement time and that Sega won't support a sequal.
