After that cinematic trailer, they had to adjust the game to appeal to a massive mainstream audience, jeapordizing the quality of their game and in the end, it just ended up a mess of poorly hashed mechanics from other games.

On the front, Spec Ops: The Line gives off the appearance of looking like yet another Call of Modern War Battlefield 6. But it most certainly isn't. I can't say much about it without giving away spoilers, but if you've ever seen the movie Apocalypse Now (or read the book the movie is based off of, Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad), then you'll feel right at home. That is until the real game kicks in.

This video from Extra Credits does a better job at doing this game justice then my shitty reccomendation ever could. Still spoiler free of course.

Bastion is a beutiful dungeon crawler style of game that tells a simple, but engaging story in an incredibly stylized post apocalyptic world. At the beggening, the player is told next to nothing. The only view into the past is a kindly old narrator with a deep and comfortable tone who tells you about the world.

It's an adventure with the simplicity of a country farm that carries out in a reasonable pace. If you are a fan of action adventure games like The Legend of Zelda, then I highly reccomend this game. There are fewer puzzles, but it has a very similar charm.
