A fantastic CRPG that excels in every aspect. Turn-based, tactical combat that finds a comfortable balance of speed and challenge. An immense world that rewards exploration and (surprisingly) remains interesting throughout--it never feels repetitive or empty as every corner hides a new discovery and reward. The characters are beliveable and the choices they offer meaningful--in large part due to the amazing writing which is what really shines the most and ties everything together to create such an awesome, engrossing experience.

From the very start it's full of awesome and surreal environments. Totally bizarre and confusing but also one of the only adventure games I've played that was actually worth exploring.

A wonderful story with unforgettable characters and moments. Metro 2033 is one of my favorite game exeriences ever. (Play it on one of the Ranger modes, as the easier difficulty levels are undertuned and immersion breaking.)
