If you want near AAA quality that actually pays a lot of attention to drama and emotion instead of rehash of tired gameplay mechanic, this is the one game that you gotta play in one sitting.

Since it's full game with all 5 episodes by now, it's worth getting because you don't have to deal with broken save games every time new episode was released. Try to play vanilla and avoid spoilers as much as you can, because once you figured out how the choices work and how stupid the other TWD stories are (like in the original comic book), the illusion breaks forever.

You often heard about "horror of war". In the news, you watch assorted scenes of post-war atrocities, selected to be safe for public view. You read about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and physical scar of the Veterans. You watch Hollywood movies of theatre of war with million dollars budget or suffering of displaced civilians. You play one-man-gunning-them-all, mowing down nazi russian or brown terrorists or aliens and feel like invincible BAMF hero.

A lot of those are entertainment. Spec Ops: The Line isn't.

It's the first time AAA vidya puts you in the active role as war participant, where there's no clear line between the good guys and the bad guys. Where meaning to do good or be a hero doesn't make you one. Your desire to see the story to its completion only lead to further devastation, and there is nothing you can do to stop it, other than walking away from the game and uninstall it.

If you want to play high quality shooter that isn't another mindless CoD or GoW, this is it.
