Surprisingly refreshing action tower-defense kept fresh with a quirky, brash, protagonist and silly, gory, gameplay. Provides a decent level of challenge while you're running about, trying to protect your realms, and maintains its polish all the way through.

The most surprising attribute of the game is that it has actual strategy thanks to its variety of tools, spells, upgrades, and weapons.

A-10C continues the tradition of excellence the DCS brand enjoys. It will take upwards of five to ten dedicated hours of practice and learning to fully enjoy your new ePlane; it is not 'drop-in and play' friendly like series such as Ace Combat. Gameplay is strategic and nuanced, though does leave some things to be desired with the default missions: The sense of urgency just isn't there a lot of the time. Player-made missions (game comes with a powerful built-in toolset for mission creation/editing) are much better on average. Online Co-op is fantastic. The fidelity of the simulator itself is stunning. No other game (bar DCS Black Shark) comes close.

I *HIGHLY RECOMMEND* that you purchase a suitable HOTAS joystick however (such as the Saitek X52 Flight Control System) and consider investing in a TrackIR (or FreeTrack, etc) to get the most out of your purchase: You won't regret it -- each greatly increases the fun and fluidity of gameplay.
