3.5/10.

Just bad and not fun. You use bad flying controls to fly around huge boring environments. Random guys and objects show up, but because everything is so unclear and just random blocks and shapes, you never know whos an enemy, or when something is being fired at you. You just go around collecting rings, and you have 20 collect 20. Apparently you have to replay every level 4 times, 1 with each ship, to get further, because they were too lazy to design many levels and just wanted annoying filler. Saving isn't explain, I leveled up but that wasn't explained. You have 2 firing types. Theres boost and rotation, and doesn't seem to be anything else. I died after 7 min on the level and had to restart because I'd collected 19/20 rings. You lose shields, but theres no shield meter, and restoring shield's isn't explained. This game is basically a game with bad controls, with unexplained mechanics, with ugly and cluttered screen none of which is clear what things are, with bad save system, and a bunch of filler added in. So have fun if that sounds good to you.

And hey I appreciate you for not being malicious, I only gave it a 3.5/10, because I usually only give a game 5 or less if I don't finish it because of problems I find with it. And actually steam refunds only work if its less than 2 hours played, which I technically have more than. Also I got it from a bundle, so I did not spend too much money on this game, which means no great loss. And even though not many people have played this game based on steam reviews, they are mostly positive, so seems that you are doing something right! So keep on making games and doing what you love!

Thank you for the clarification. We indeed know Kromaia is not for everyone, but your review sounds a bit unfair... and we have to point that out ;)

We would prefer to return the money if the game is not for you or if you misinterpreted the trailer. Probably that would help some possible fans to try it without risks. In fact, I think you can now return games on Steam if you have played few and you didn't like it at all.

Anyway, thank you for your support buying our game and thank you for your feedback! :maia:

And yup I have less than 11 hours, more like 1 a little over 1, left it up to get the cards, figured I'd get something back for the money I wasted on buying this. And I guess I missed the shield UI so I'll give you that point. But everything else I stand by. And yes you commonly can in games pick up shields and weapons in games, but it's usually explained, or at least you can visibly tell what they are, not just some random color that on the cluttered screen, and you will know once you pick them up, unlike this. So hey just my opinion, but wasn't a fan. Keep on gaming though!!

Hey I understand, many people liked this game, but just wasn't for me. Yes guys are different colors, but half the time I couldn't tell if I was being shot at, or if it was a guy flying around me, there would be tons of different squares, triangles, and other shapes that were green, white, etc, fluttering around the screen. It just feels like a jumbled mess. And i see that there are floppy discs for saving, but then when I just suddenly died (still don't know why) I respawned in a little hangar area and seemed I was at the start of the level (I was on normal) may have accidentally pressed something but because the interface is meh, and the controls and everything else aren't explained, who knows.

(3) 3'5/ 10 sounds really unfair. Take a look at professional reviews out there if you want. Seriously, I don't know what happened to you while playing, I wish I could see a replay video or something.

Thanks :maia:

(2) For example:
- You know who is an enemy looking at its colour. Unless you are colour-blind you shouldn't have a problem with that (and colours can be modified if you are)
- Saving is marked by a floppy disk save icon! If the checkpoint saves your game it has the icon. Not that difficult, right? And the frequency of save points changes with difficulty, as explained on the difficulty selection menu. What else do you need to know? If you had to restart after 19/20 rings it is because you selected the highest difficulty level, and there was a explanation in that selection menu.
- There is a shield meter! It is the only interface together with the score on the top of the screen. Those shileds you see printed on screen are the shields you have left. Not intuitive enough?
- Restoring shields can be done with power ups and prizes hidden on some dungeons. That is not explained, but it is common on most games.

(1) Hi Adam!

I can't believe you played 11 hours and you didn't understand anything!

We know, Kromaia is cryptic at the beginning, but not that much 1 hour later. It is strange and worrying from our side.
