I like the game, I really do. The recreation of the school, the magic, the lore...What ruins the experience is the CTD's. If you have an NVIDIA 4000 series forget about activating ray tracing of any kind, DLSS or anything exotic other than high detail and antialiasing, you will get constant CTD's. If you disable ray tracing and DLSS the game may run fine for a while, until it decides not to and CTD's again ruining it a bit more.

Still, after a month since buying it hasn't received a single patch trying to address this, so it seems studio is in no hurry to fix it since they probably are grabbing good money from it anyways.

Very engaging. I recommend it.

Like Subnautica. This one of the best exploration experience you will get in any game you ever play. Inmersive, great story, good graphics, I enjoyed every minute of it. I just wish they release a third subnautica soon.

Edit after finishing it (81 hours taking it easy). I am going to use some sentences I used in the forums:

It is difficult to find a good exploration game, this is for me undoubtly the best game ever in that area that I have ever played.

The story is amazing! Everything you can do in it is entertaining and the whole place is incredidbly designed so you can find and enjoy very different biomas and areas with its own unique traits.. Not to mention certain structures.

The manufacturing. Ingredient needs and how they are disposed is very well made. The game is not repetitive unless you make it so with your playstyle.

The progrss as you discover new items and vehicles, each different than the other.. it is just so entertaining.

So. If you are wondering. Should you buy it? Yes.. but not once, twice or three times.. This is an absolute masterpiece of a game and whatever people say, good or bad, it is still underated.

Been playing since early alpha on Steam. The game just keeps improving. State of the art gameplay. Another masterpiece from Klei. The game traps you and you just can't stop playing and start over and over and over new colonies. Be ware!, addiction warrantied if you like the genre.

Edit: Where is the new DLC? Just take my money!!!

Edit2: A thought came to me, if I had to choose only one game to have for the rest of my life... this would probably be it.

I don't like the "early access" thing at all, but I'm surely enjoying this one a whole lot already as if it were finished.

The author is active in the community and seems to have a clear plan or where things should go. AI is very well defined, and the game offer some other strategy elements through the use of essence.

Just buy it if you like the genre. Build stuff, asign jobs and see the little citizens do their things.

The game play is a bit different from SPAZ 1, but the battles, the story and the gameplay in general will get you hooked for hours.

Don't Starve and SPAZ 1 introduced me to awesome Indie titles.

This is another one. Just buy it.

When I do a playthrough I generally quit a game. With Stellaris this has been totally different. So many races, so many different traits to choose, different approaches. Done 4 playthroughs already and planning the next.

This game is a jewel from Paradox Interactive, and not only that, works on Linux flawlessly.

Just buy it!

After the aweful start they polished the game to more or less what was promised or maybe even more. An enjoyable game now.

A game that plays kind of like Wing Commander Privateer with a naval battle twist can't be wrong, you get the Mercenaries guild, the merchands guild and who knows maybe some alien stuff.

Very entertaining, sometimes a bit grindy but hey, getting expensive gear and ships is not cheap, the main quest is quite interesting to follow also and when the mercenaries guild chick calls you, just say yes!

Battles are very interesting and you can get the most of your tactics if you choose your turret slots wisely. Also there can be many different battle tactics depending on the choice of weaponry you use, laser, projectile, mines, etc.

Mining is a bit rudimentary but still it plays well, I usually don't go mining on purpose unless I found about a juicy spot.

I have spent quite a few hours and I have many more ahead (just visited 4 systems).

If you like space battles and if you liked Wing Commander Privateer, just buy it.
