Genuinely terrible game as a stand alone, the only way to have really any fun is download mods up to your ears or pay for DLC's, which are somehow more ♥♥♥♥ than the exact same DLCs for the previous sims, less content whilst being twice as expensive. The only things I really genuinely like and prefer about this game is the go to work DLC and little bits of the character creator. (more fun little details like teeth and nails) but way less customisation than before, quite disappointing.

Bioshock has always been a series riddled with story and beautiful world design, from the underwater city of rapture in the first games to now the floating city of Columbia, there isn't anything I wouldn't give to be able to visit these physically improbable cities.

This game is over all a masterpiece, at least to me.
One thing I love about infinite is that I much prefer the vigors over the plasmids of the previous games. I love the design of the bottles and names and I just find them much more fun in comparison.

This is one of those games where, even without the exciting fights and vigors, the story itself is so rewarding and exciting, I found myself celebrating when I had found an audio diary to further the lore as opposed to the first games when I felt like I just wanted to skip past them because only some really felt important. The twins made for such interesting stories and I greatly enjoyed their input to the story.

overall an absolutely stunning game for its time 10/10

I started this game with only minimal knowledge of the characters and their deep and beautiful personalities, and by the end I couldn't have asked for more.

From the stunning character animation and beautifully personalised character design, to the charming story. I was beside myself with grief every single time I was faced with the prospect of freeing each of those spirits.

I especially had a connection with the character Alice, as my grandfather, much like Alice, lost himself to dementia. It was excruciating to watch a character with such a beautiful heart begin to deteriorate in such a way.
Stanley also pulled a great amount of tears from me and yet I wouldnt have changed a single thing, my tears only proved how beautiful and deep the personalities and stories of these characters are.

This was one of the games that I can say without hesitation, left me feeling empty when it ended, when each of those characters I had loved so much had moved on and there was nothing else to collect, I simply sat there, staring at the title screen and listening to the calming music and I felt my heart become a little emptier, but just as the theme of letting go in this game, everything comes to an end.

Spiritfarer is a game I would highly recommend to anyone scared of the idea of letting go. Or anyone who just enjoys a good cry.

A 10/10 game
