I'm fairly easy to get along with as long as you don't behave like a complete jackass, kann Deutsch, and have been a gamer most of my life. On YouTube, I make reviews of both modern and classic games as well as post gameplay videos, Let's Plays (where I play a game and provide commentary over it), and other stuff as well.

This game is legendary in the FPS genre for good reason. At the time, it was a technical milestone for its superbly impressive 3D engine (which is quite dated, of course), which would later go on to power games like Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight and Half-Life. It pioneered online multiplayer. It spawned a series of FPS's responsible for defining the genre throughout the 90's and beyond, though Quake 3 is probably the most widely-known of the lot these days. Ultimately, Quake 1 is an insanely fun, action-packed FPS that I can do nothing but recommend to everyone who enjoys the FPS genre. It's both great to see the history of the genre as well as still being an absolute blast to play.
This game surprised me in way more ways than one. Beneath the simplistic, computerized graphics (which fit it perfectly) lies a surprisingly deep strategy game with an unnervingly incredible amount of atmosphere. The music blends with the sound to create a haunting array for your ears, while the visuals offer a very detached, ominous feeling to the nuclear war you're enacting. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.
This is easily the best roguelike I've ever played. Easy to pick up and play, full of all the things the genre's known for (tons of loot, brutal difficulty, random dungeons), TONS of replay value via a large array of skills and craftables, and above all: it's absolutely hilarious. Definitely grab this one if you're a fan of roguelikes or are looking to get into them.
