1994 may HAVE to last a lifetime.
The New York Rangers are a National Hockey League team based in Manhattan, New York City. An "original six" team established in 1926, the Rangers are a member of the NHL's Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. They play their home games in Madison Square Garden.
Basic information:
-The Rangers have won the Stanley Cup four times: 1928, 1933, 1940, and 1994. We don't like to talk about what happened between 1941 and 1993.
-The current captain of the New York Rangers is Ryan Callahan, and the team's current head coach is John Tortorella.
-The Rangers' main rivals are the New Jersey Devils (who, if not for Rangers fan attending their home games, would have gone bankrupt three years ago), the Philadelphia Flyers (who have been unable to win the Stanley Cup since the league made "assault with a deadly weapon" illegal during play), the New York Islanders ("Potvin sucks"), and the Pittsburgh Penguins (about whom the nicest thing you can say is: "At least they aren't the Flyers").
-Our goal song goes like this: "Woah-oh-ohhhhh! (x4) Hey! Hey! Hey hey hey! (x4)" Feel free to write those lyrics down in case you forget them.
