Greets!

Some vitals: I'm 37, male, and have lived in Michigan (with a quick 6 year stint in Chicago) my whole life.

I'm a former virtual reality developer (currently unemployed 8 years due to anxiety and the job market), single and never married with no kids (much to my dismay- I really want some!)

I'm a big goofball. If you think I've said something serious, mean or otherwise off kilter, odds are it was simply one of the many things I say in an attempt at wit and silly humor that failed. Seriously- I've never been disliked by anyone that has met me. I'm too harmless, nice and silly to hate me.

Lessee... I don't like "macho" type guys who treat people like crap, nor do I like overcompetitive people- who don't keep in mind that they're supposed to be having fun. If you are in game on the mic screaming at everyone for how bad they're playing (when you aren't helping any more than the next person), I WILL put you in your place, CHILD. *eyes you*

I also don't take kindly to younger people thinking they are wiser than older people. You don't. Learn that, respect your elders, and move on! *stops talking in elderly old man voice*

Otherwise, concerning my interests, you could say I pretty much live for Prince and his music (that's all I listen to- you can have the rest), and otherwise I LOVE anything creative whatsoever- especially writing. Normally I have a blog going, but I'm trying to switch sites and make it shiny, and I'm slow in doing so (since I'm not getting paid to work on it!) =P

I'm starting the process all writers do at some point- writing "their" novel. I managed to knock out 50,000 words in November during the process of winning NaNoWriMo '08... which is probably about half of the total prior to revisions, so that's good!

Oh- and if you're not having fun while gaming, stop gaming! Don't whine! Go do something FUN, my god. It makes no sense to sit there whining and bitching about how much you hate the game classes, skills or balance. We don't want to hear it! Go watch paint dry!

What is Stompfest?

Stomp is a verb meaning “to tread or trample heavily or violently on” and Fest means “a gathering or occasion characterized by a specified activity.” Does that mean this is a community of people trampling each other? Well, in short, yes! But we do it in style, within a community of 170,000+ players! (1000+ in the Steam Communtiy alone!) Join us, and FRAG ON!

What started as a group of gamers who enjoyed gathering together on local area networks has evolved into multiple full time Tier-1 hosts serving the First Person Shooter community with Team Fortress 2 and Left 4 Dead. While the LAN parties still take place in the midwest, you can get your game-on internationally, 7/24/365.
