***DEAD GAME - - DO NOT BUY!***

Another indie game with so much potential. Unfortunately they were unable to keep the project going between expenses and income, and the project remains indefinitely suspended.

At most you will get an hour or two of gameplay out of it, but it's obvious that the game isn't finished and there is very little content. A shame considering the game seems mostly complete in terms of overall design and such. Just needed a few more months of content addition and bug testing.

There's no point in buying since it will almost definitely never be completed. Although if it were to be continued/restarted, I would gladly change my review and continue to support the developers. In this case, we lost a great game and it's unfortunate that many terrible games on Steam continue to be sold while gems like this one can't stay afloat.

Let's face it.. The gaming world is full of two bit zombie hacks and so-called sandbox games.

This is not one of those games.

FIrst and foremost, you should probably know that the game has been and is continuing to develop, and the makers have upgraded features and resolved bugs. It isn't dead in the water or slowing down, and it looks to continue right on to a full release. Little chance of a burn from a developer deciding to stop working.

The first time you play it you will inevitably run around and try to survive like it's another FPS shooter with zombies, and you'll die of dysentry or starvation. Or both. Once the "newness" of it wears off, you'll realize that the only way you will make it past those mythical seven days is to build... THE ULTIMATE FORTRESS!

Fast forward a few hours and you'll probably have a nice little wooden shack built up with some punji stick flowerbeds and feeling pretty much like you're living the dream. That's right about the time the game will introduce you to the concept of a horde of zombie who have a penchant for tearing down anything that makes noise or sounds vaguely like you.

Ahead of you is several tiers of building levels, complete with multiple stage buildings and reinforcing. Sprinkle in a few traps and a will and desire to have a zombie free farm of growing food. Then you will want to start exploring the world to find the things you don't have yet or haven't seen yet. When you finally hit the point where you feel like you've explored the game pretty thoroughly, it's time to invite some friends or go online and find some new ones and you've got yet a whole new experience.

If you enjoy games involving open worlds, building and crafting, resource gathering, you will find it here.

If you enjoy games involving overwhelming odds, limited ammunition and guns, and having an extremely challenging fight to survive in a first person setting against zombies, you will also find it here.

In the currently cluttered world of sandbox zombie survival, this is one of the few games that delivers a great time and has a promising future ahead of it.

PZ is a hugely challenging game, in the spirit of losing is fun. Once you learn the ropes it's not hard to survive for a while, and the game progressively becomes more difficult as you take bigger risks trying to acquire the resources to continue. Add a few mods into the mix and you get way more than you bargained for with the game. If you like isometric, and you like survival/sandbox, and you like zombies, you should already own this game. It will only get better as development progresses!
