Dead Island has set a new bar by which all future games with melee combat should be judged. For anyone who felt like Dead Rising was almost there, but maybe just a little too silly, this game is likely for you. Big, open-world island to explore with multiple environments including a beach resort, hotel, and rundown town, multiple characters, each with their own specializations, Borderlands-style weapons stat system, Dead Rising-style weapon creation system, RPG-style quest system, localized damage that allows you to break or even chop off zombie appendages, and a melee combat system second to none. If you like zombie games, and enjoy getting a hell of a lot of bang for your buck, why do you not own this already?

If you've ever wanted to know what it's like to have an acid trip, but were always afraid of the possible social reprocussions, look no further than The Polynomial. Picture a ménage à trois among Freespace, Windows Media Player Visualizer, and Space Invaders. A love child was born, force-fed LSD, and the end result was The Polynomial. It's a trip. Oh, and it supports Anaglyphic 3D.
