i've had steam since it came out, but i never used it. i only started playing team fortress 2 about a month ago.
I've had Steam since it came out several years ago... the Winter Holiday season has some really good deals here in Steam and every weekend there's something on sale. I look for the things that I may not necessarily be interested in right this second, but may be in a couple years... for instance, I had TF2 for more than a year before I installed it!
