This game is far from bad.

I got carried away by the negative reception, and just pospone my playthough of this game, and even to the point that it affect my first impressions, I couldn´t stand this game at first.

with that out of the way, I´ll start with the bad, and the things that most people are right, this game is a technical mess, it will crash, the game takes you to desktop just to load the next area, and the level are just too small.

It really feels claustrophobic, it still have the same freedom of choice and consequences as the original Deus Ex have, but it really feels so small, in my opinion, compare to the big buildings and places of the original, also I dind´t like the simplification of the RPG mechanics and shooting, yes now where you point the gun shoot, but that doesn´t mean the gunplay is better (personally I like the way the first did it, it make you actually think ahead, instead as just go all guns blazing, as I did a lot here).

As for the RPG mechanics, there almost non, they just kept the biomod upgrade system and they dumb it down, like real bad, it have a few good Ideas that make you prioritize your character but compered to the original, I dind´t feel like a badass cyborg this time, only a cyborg.

So, why I recommend this game them?

Still Deus Ex, Still fun, the story is really good and still the same cyberpunk conspiracy cyborg simulator that I love the first time, I this game make me crack out of laughter and make me high five myself more than onces by doing awesome deeds, and still a Role Playing game at hearth, you really play what you build... on my first run I build a Hacker, and no terminal was beyond my reach, and on the next playthourgh I was a cyborg assasin that was a ghost until it got to kill what it got to kill.

And for the story, if there´s a reason to play this game, after the original is the way the game expand on the idiologies of the first game, I would say the way the game make take a choice It will feel overwhelming at first, but at the same time, that´s how your character have to feel. Also the game make use of returning character like I haven´t seen, it really feel like a justify sequel and it really expand of the deus Mythos, the endings tend to go in the absolute route, but at the same time, I though the same about the endings of the first deus ex, and some how the manage to make all three endings canon to this story.

I haven´t played yet Human Revolution, but so far Deus Ex: The Fall is the worst game in the franchise, this one just blows it out of the water, and so far this is becoming my favorite videogame franchise of all time.
