Despite some clunky UI, this is a fine conversion. The expanded roster of races available in the Legendary Edition freshens things up and if the absence of your favourite race was putting you off getting one of the previous versions, it might now be time to pick it up.

The CPU players are fairly competent while learning the ropes but it is likely you will want to play against humans to get a real challenge once you have mastered the rules and know the ins and outs. Popular public leagues means it is easy to log in and get a game whenever you want and there are a lot of options for creating private tournaments for your friends.
