Devinity 2

Devinity 2 is an innovative simulation gamemode based on Sunrise, both developed by The Maw. It was first created back in 2009 in GMod and soon lost it's popularity and people became confused to who first created the gamemodes, due to the amount of modifications done to the gamemode by many different people.

In Sunrise gamemode, there was originally only one solar system, players were able to hit the skybox and their ship became uncontrolable, until the ship has been slowed down. The warping effects wasn't the most pleasent thing to feel or look at, as the map was rather small relativly speaking and the fact, that there was only one solar system.

In Devinity 1 gamemode, a lot of new contents and systems was implemented to improve gameplay experience and graphical designs. Devinity 1 gamemode had 4 solar systems by applying one layer of solar systems on top of eachother in the map. However players were still hitting invisible walls (AKA. Skybox) and the maps were still quite small.

Then in the early scripts of Devinity 2, a new feature called "Multi Dimension" became a reality, which allowed an unlimited amount of solar systems to be produced in the gamemode. This however was indeed an incredible step forward into improving the universe kind of feeling however later on when GMod 13 beta arrived a new methode was researched on. This lead to the Devinity 2 as it is now: Map limit expansion.

With an increased size in map limits, this allowed Galaxys to be fit inside the map and you could actually fly outside the solar system without hitting any walls. (There is a hard point limit but its so large, it wouldn't be worth mentioning)

Unlike Devinity 1 and Sunrise, which made all things smaller, Devinity 2 will make things bigger due to the increased size in map limits, which opens up for alot of new potential features. This is one of the mayor breakthroughs in Devinity 2's history, to expand the limits and make more room for players to fly in.

This group is specificly for those interested in playing the gamemode. Those who have played Sunrise and enjoyed it will have a welcoming sight in Devinity 2.

This game is brilliant. What other game can you watch amazing bandit-on-dragon fights where the bandit attempts to kill the dragon for it's money? Where can you go into a shop, put a bucket over the shop-keep's head and steal all of their wares? What game can you annoy the hell out of gaurds about stolen sweet rolls?

Get this game.
