Like just about everyone I think, I played this on multiplayer just long enough to get the achievements for the hat in TF2. Decided to go back and see if the single player was any better. The story was OK, I liked the comic book cut scenes between levels. Game play is pretty much exactly the same as multiplayer. I could never get use to the recticle/mouse this game uses. If you like the targeting system, it's not a bad way to spend a few hours, if you didn't like it when you got your hat, don't bother with the campaign.

Very cool game. Went into it not really knowing anything about the premise (except that dismembering creatures is much more efficient than blasting away at torso's or heads). Loved the story, it is pretty deep and complex. Wasn't thrilled with the anti-gravity (point-click-jump) as many times I would inexplicibly suffocate instead of landing on the bulkhead. Other facets of game play are pretty standard xbox fare (I couldn't really play with mouse/keyboard, the controls were not responsive enough).

The big boss fights are somewhat entertaining but get tedious the 15th time you try it in order to figure out how to stay alive, but normal combat is fun and engaging. Using the 6 different weapons ( you carry 4 at any time) can make for some interesting variety. I definitely found certain strategies work better for different kinds of enemies.

Recommend to anyone who likes horror FPS.

Fun campaign, though it's a little short. I wasn't happy with the "official" choice of who betrayed your group from the last one, but otherwise the campaign is fun if a bit short. Disappointed that all the races have almost the same exact campaign, made me stop after doing one or two. The multiplayer is fun, but I found the match-making to be sub-standard. I either played people I tromped or people who tromped me, never found an exciting, close match.

Love the Last Stand mode, definitely by the DLC if you like that mode. THe extra gear and characters make the game very fun and challenging.
