Okay, this is just like ... take Zelda: A Link to the Past, increase the difficulty, fill it to the brim with disturbing dream imagery, biting humor, and dark psychological implications, add an extensive (and even more ridiculously hard) postgame, and you'll have Anodyne. It is fairly short (took me about eight hours, and I didn't have the skill to beat the final boss) but it's worth every penny.

MUCH improved over the first one, with less latency, better and more easily-parsed graphics, fundamental refinements to the combat system ... and less dialogue from Holy Avatar. Just don't expect graphics like the ones in the logo; check out the store page for screenshots to get a better idea of what to expect.

A really addictive action RPG, like Secret of Mana but really fast-paced and cool. Great challenge level, too, and appealing graphics and characters.
