In addition, this game is in Early Access. This means that this game is not the final product. Perhaps all of the models and textures are just placeholders until the developer finds an artist or learns how to create the art himself. So I don't feel that your complaint about using assets from the Unity Store is valid.
As far as this being a "cash and run" game, the developer seems to be regularly updating the game with content, albeit slowly.
However, as it currently stands, the game does not seem worth the $15 price. And there is always a risk of the developer ducking out on an Early Access game. So I'm definitely not spending money on it as of yet.
Instead of compaining you could accually give him feedback ;)
I'm pretty sure you have "something usefull" to say with those 2 years of "playing with unity" you mentioned.
