This game honestly resonates a lot more with me now than it did when i first played the PS2 version of FES.

The themes and message of the game are really well handled seeing as the game is all about dealing with loss and how people come to terms with it.

It covers a lot of perspectives regarding the subject and gives a lot of understanding to why people would act the way they do on each one and overall ends on a positive outcome for them with a positive and hopeful final note on them.

This is thematically and story wise the best JRPG I've ever played and one that leaves a lasting impression.
