Despite there are wildly different opinions on this game, I find Grid Autosport to be a fairly enjoyable game with it's accessible yet fun driving physics, great content and a throwback to Grid 1 or even TOCA series that should set the foundation for the next Grid game. Grid Autosport also brings back the rather enjoyable multidisciplinary racing aspect of Grid 1 and TOCA series where the game features cars from exotic hyper cars, Australian V8 Supercars, Formula 3 Open Wheel, GT3s, drift machines and so on. The career is serviceable as the whole team management aspect in Grid 1 was axed so you are very much a driver for hire now which is disappointing to me. Personally, I would still recommend Custom Cup (or commonly known as Quick Race in most racing games) where you can choose to race with any car and on any tracks to your liking, considering all the cars and tracks are unlocked once you boot up the game. There are some issues with the game such as the poorly implemented multiplayer mode, AI that can be too aggressive at times and a lot of recycled content that some might find it to be a bit lazy. Still, with a revamped and improved driving physics, driving on tracks such as the licensed race track, Red Bull Ring in Grid Autosport is certainly more enjoyable than Grid 2.

I do recommend Grid Autosport to you if you enjoyed Grid 1 or TOCA series but was disappointed with Grid 2's direction. Or you are racing game fan who is looking for a fun, accessible simcade with tonnes of content.

If you stumbled upon this review on a sale, I do recommend you to pick up this game along with the Season Pass as there are some really enjoyable content in the Season Pass.
